Overview

Located in the south of Vietnam, Saigon is a visit you won't forget. As one of the most populous cities in Southeast Asia, you'll find a great mix of cultures here. It began to be important on the map with the arrival of the Vietnamese in the 17th century. It was also a French colony in the 19th century, hence the great influence on the architecture of many of the city's buildings. After two hard wars, including the Vietnam War, Saigon gained its independence.

City Sightseeing offers you a complete tour of this attractive and exciting destination. You will be able to see different sides of the city, which will make your trip much more interesting.

Start the tour at the Saigon Opera House. This building is one of the examples of architecture from the French colonial period. This is where your adventure in the big city of Saigon begins! The frenetic pace of traffic and the large number of motorbikes on the streets of Saigon is also a sight to behold! You'll see it as you ride comfortably on the top deck of City Sightseeing's red buses.

Another stop along the route is by the Saigon River at Nha Rong Wharf, which means “dragon house”. Here you will find the Ho Chi Minh Museum. Hop back on board the bus to the Museum of Vietnamese History. Here you can make a long stop to explore the entire museum and learn more about its inhabitants from prehistoric times to the present day.

To understand a little more about Saigon's history, a visit to the War Remnants Museum is a must. It's a tough visit but it helps to understand the impact of the conflict internationally and for the Vietnamese themselves.

Hop off at Pham Ngu Lao Street for one of the most lively areas of the city, especially at night. Here you'll find plenty of restaurants, bars and clubs. Don't forget to make a stop at Ben Thanh Market. In addition to finding all kinds of items to buy, here you can also taste the local cuisine.

This and much more awaits you on your trip to Saigon with City Sightseeing!
