Overview
With two routes, City Sightseeing has Gozo covered. It’s an island of incredible natural beauty and amazing ancient history and we’ll take you to all the places we think you just have to see. You can hop on and hop off at the stops you choose and explore the island at your leisure.
If you arrive from Malta by boat, hop on either the Purple or Blue Line at Mgarr Harbour, but not before having a stroll around this picturesque seaside village. If you choose the Purple Route first, you have to hop off at Xewkija. It might be hard to say, but it’s one of the island’s most attractive villages, which is famous for the incredible church the Rotunda of Xewkija, whose dome is 75-metres tall.
Hop off at Savina Creativity, where you can buy some delicious local food and even watch some of it being made. To see some natural beauty, hop off at Dwejra, with its amazing cliffs and dazzling blue waters. Take in the amazing view and then hop back on the bus to head to the next destination you choose.
Xlendi is a charming village in the island’s southwest. Explore its quiet streets, stop for a drink and maybe walk up to the 17th-century Xlendi tower and enjoy the amazing views over the Mediterranean. Hop off in Victoria, the island’s small but charming capital and pay a visit to the Cittadella, the 15th-century fortification which dominates the skyline. When in Victoria, you can hop on the Blue Route or continue exploring on the Purple.
An unmissable blue route stop is Ggantija Temples, a megalithic temple complex, which is more than 5,500 years old. Nearby is Xagħra Stone Circle, a neolithic funerary complex. If you feel the need to see the sea again, head for Marsalforn on the island’s north coast. This lively village is a great place to find something to eat or maybe to dip your toes in the warm Mediterranean waters.
